Al-Quds index closed today’s session in red territory declining by 0.24% or 1.24 points to 516.75 points after it closed yesterday at 517.99 points.
The general index declined by 0.21% losing 0.57 point and closed at 273.85 points.
Total of 1.58 million shares were traded through 93 transactions at a turnover of $1.6 million. 19 companies participated in trading, 4 rose, 7 declined and 8 kept flat.
The top three gainers were Jerusalem Pharmaceuticals Co which rose by 4.32%, The National Bank which increased by 1.71% and Palestine Investment Bank which soared by 1.01%.
On the other hand, the top three losers were Palestine Plastic Industries Co Ltd which decreased by 4.17%, The Arab Real estate Co Ltd which declined by 3.57% and Al Wataniah Towers Co which lost 2.8%.
At the sectors level, the benchmark index was pressured by the services sector which lost 0.55% and the investment sector which shed 0.25%, while the industry sector rose by 0.53% and the banks sector increased by 0.13%.
It should be noted that Al-Quds index had soared at yesterday session’s close by 0.09% or 0.48 point and closed at 517.99 points while the general index increased by 0.11% gaining 0.31 point and closed at 274.42 points.
